City Girl Walking

Exploring life, one footstep at a time

Budding Photographer

As I walked through Canary Wharf, new fancy camera in hand, I looked for the things I loved most about living in this crazy metropolis. The busy streets that I know will quieten down after the workers leave to go home to their families. The monstrous buildings which display contours of elegance in the right light. The purposely constructed green spaces that after twenty years are well established and bring a natural beauty to the imposing surroundings. And the stark contrasts in colour, style and being that are presented to me everywhere I look. People often ask me why I live in the Wharf, I answer unconfidently understanding that most people wouldn’t want to live amongst the skyscrapers. Despite sometimes wishing I lived in a more conventional location, I am thankful for how lucky I am to have such beauty to photograph.

Here are a few of my favourite captures…
